Artist statement
I began taking a lot of pictures when I was in middle school. In my 8th grade art class there was a small section on photography, and I really began enjoying it. That summer I took a lot of pictures, especially of my sister. This was fun for both of us because I like taking pictures and she likes being in front of the camera. Now I am at the end of my first digital photography class, and I feel like I can now create some really great photos.
My photos are generally bright and vibrant. I like bright photos with a lot of color and contrast. Most of my photos have only one or two objects, and the photos focus on those objects. The photos I take represent who I am. I’m a very happy, optimistic person. I don’t need much to make me happy, and I’m very low maintenance. My personality is shown in my photography by being bright and simple.
